Blood-Ties

Hey look, two submissions in one month! 
Yes, I'm also back earlier than I said... There are reasons but I don't know if a lot of my watchers will be interested but I will probably end up telling a few xD; 

Anyway, this is what I did while I was away. For those of you who don't recognise her... This is Rozalynne Everthorne. I know she looks VERY different XD 
The title may have given that away though xD I was toying between two ideas for this piece, I didn't know whether to do this one or one where Rozalynne is at her current and younger age, so that may get done in the future. 
But I have to say... I AM SO HAPPY WITH HOW THIS TURNED OUT I LOVE IT XD 

I know it's a simple pose (which is probably why it came out so good, it was easy ) and concept but I wanted this to have a much deeper feeling. For those that are reading Blood-Ties or know of Rozalynne, you'll probably know she doesn't belong to one race. Rozalynne's father, Vladamir Everthorne, is the head of the Vampire Realm. Her mother, Lillith Everthorne, is the head of the Demon Realm. Needless to say, the two races don't get along so their relationship Rozalynne's birth caused outrage. She's torn between the two realms, not really belonging anywhere and shunned by everyone, bar her maid, her parents and a few odd servants. And of course Danté, her demon lover. Despite this, Rozalynne tries to always put on a brave face though it gives her a cold and brash personality. I tried to give her the serious expression to portray this, to make her look like she's concentrating while her posture here shows a certain 'regal' feeling to it, due to her authority over both the realms. 
Her left side, with the black hair and purple eye, is what she would have looked like had she been born vampire. She has gained a lot of qualities from this side of her family, as you can see, her pale skin, and the pointed ears especially. However from her demon side, (the right side shown here) is what she would have looked like had she been born demon. Her purple hair, if anyone was wondering, is from her grandmother as Lillith has black hair. Her horns would have been naturally taller than the ones she has now, and would be blue and black like her mother's. She did not inherit the wings or as much of the height of the demons, though she did gain the tail. 
The clothing I designed was intended to be ceremonial clothes for both realms. The black and red gown, I tried to make look darker but more classy, hence the flared sleeves and lace along them and the neckline. Due to the vampires also considered to be lusty and seductive creatures, I gave her dress more of a dipping neckline. Red is the Everthorne family colour. 
The blue gown I wanted to make more elegant, hence the corset style bodice and the gloves. The blue is Morganthe (Lillith's Maiden name) family colours. Despite making the neckline higher I decided to make this dress more revealing, due to the demons not having to worry about exposing their skin to daylight as vampires would. I also though the open back of the dress would be easier for demons to wear with their wings instead of having them adjusted. 

So you can see really, Rozalynne has inherited a fair mix from her mother and her father's side of the family. There are so marks of her being mixed race in her weaknesses, though I can go into those later. So for now enjoy Rozalynne, and what might have been had she not been born a half-blood...

_{And yes, as you can see Rozalynne prefers her vampire ceremonial colours xD But she HATES both dresses, she doesn't like having to get all dressed up and act prim and proper. She's much happier in her baggy clothing and big boots instead of posh frocks and high heels}
