We'd eaten our sandwiches without another word. After Kyle had finished chomping through his own sandwich, he had stuck headphones back into his ears. And started his ridiculous dancing again. I just raised my eyebrows at him but remained silent.
Zen had fallen asleep as had Leon. Although Zen was nice enough to sleep quietly.
While Kane had just glared at me. I preferred it when he'd glared out the window. He made me feel really uncomfortable. I really wanted to tell him to stop staring at me. But I was too afraid to. Kane terrified me. I didn't like not knowing what somebody was. And with an aura like that, I couldn't even guess what he was.
We'd already been on the train for an hour and a half. I didn't think I could take much longer of squirming under Kane's glare.
I was looking down trying to read a book. But I couldn't focus on it. I could feel Kane's ice cold stare raising Goosebumps all over my skin.
"What's up with you Cutie Pie?" asked Kyle.
I looked towards Kyle, then to Kane and finally back to Kyle. He seemed to get the message. He then shoved his long fingers into Kane's ribcage.
Kane simply shifted his glare from me to Kyle. Which Kyle simply ignored. He must be used to Kane. Unlike me…
"Oi, stop staring at her, you're creeping her out."
  "And you don't?"  Snapped Kane.
"No, he doesn't! He doesn't keep staring at me like- like…" I couldn't think of a reply. So Kyle chipped in instead.
"Like, he has a crush on you?"
"Yeah – Wait, WHAT?!" I cried in horror. It had only just registered what he had said. Kane, having a crush on me? Oh god no! Never in a million years.
Kyle burst into fits of hysterics, earning lots of disapproving frowns of other passengers.
Kane just punched Kyle in the stomach. Hard. Kyle bent over, winded. "Ok, ok, I was just kidding." Kyle replied with a weak voice, barely even above a whisper. He was also displaying an even weaker smile.
In an odd way it was nice to know that Kane felt the same way about me too. Even if he had reacted violently.
Now I was sure not to go near Kane alone. Zen sneezed from my bag as if in agreement.
"Yeah, you'll get him for me wont you Zen?" I whispered slightly sarcastically to Zen.
I settled down back into my soft seat. Turned my head towards Leon, and shut my eyes slowly. I was waiting for the warmth and serenity of the dream world to take me away. And was silently praying that I wouldn't have the nightmare of that horrifying night when my parents were killed.

I awoke a (what I assumed was a few hours later) when the train came to a sudden stop. I was flung out of my seat, straight into Kyle's strong arms. My face in his chest.
I pushed away slightly and stared into his wide, shinning grey eyes. It took us awhile to realise what had happened. One minute I was asleep in my chair, now I was sprawled all over Kyle.
"Oh, my god, I'm sorry." I said quickly as I pushed away from Kyle back into my seat.
"Uh, no it's ok, Cutie Pie." Replied Kyle with a slightly lopsided smile.  Although, his eyes still looked a little shocked. I'm not surprised.
"Umm…I'm really sorry I didn't mean to fly at you like that." I replied quietly as the train doors swished open and people started shuffling about and fetching things down from the overhead rails.
Leon pushed past me gently and passed me down my red backpack before fetching his own down. Once he'd slipped his bag over his shoulder, he then fetched down a purple bag that he passed to Kyle and a smaller blue bag to Kane.
I clutched my bag to my chest and hurried off the train with my head down. I didn't see the train station sign. So I still had no idea where we were.  And anyway, my cheeks were still burning. I'd never be able to look him in the face again.
Suddenly, somebody grabbed the back of my collar. I chocked and jerked back to release the pressure on my throat.
  "This way." Kane said impatiently.
I frowned deeply so my eyebrows met in the middle of my forehead, "Well, I would if somebody would stop yanking my coat." I replied tugging my self out of his grip.
He just grunted and spun around, shoved his hands in his pockets and stalked away.
Ok, seriously, HOW does Kyle work with him? Personally, I'm impressed both of them have survived and they haven't ripped each other yet. Yet.
I fell into place at Leon's side. Away from Kyle.
I risked a glance in his direction. He was looking in the other direction. He was being surprisingly quiet. So quiet that even Kane was standing next to him without moaning.
The only one talking was Leon. He was talking about something that had happened on the train. But I don't think anybody was listening. He eventually fell silent with the rest of us.
I needed something to take my mind off it. I went back to scanning people's auras. I was kind of hoping there would be a Lost Soul nearby. Prove to Kyle and Kane that I could fight.
But, of course, no such luck. Everybody's aura made up a pool of bluey green light. Not even a small fleck of purple. If there was ever a Queen Unlucky, it would be me. Would life ever be kind to me? Probably not…
I guess there's nothing to do but walk around, and find the nearest decent hotel.
I'd probably share a room with Leon. I'd leave Kane and Kyle to each others mercy.
And if we only got one room, Kyle and Kane can fight for possession of the bath tub or shower.
"At least its not rai-" Leon started before I slapped my hand over his mouth.
"Sorry Leon, but you know what life's like. If you even say the R word, you know what'll happen."
Leon pulled my hand off his mouth gently, "Yeah good idea. So, where we heading?"
"Don't know. Just follow the crowd, I guess." I replied.
And the crowd was piling out through the ticket office. We followed them through and I grabbed a map on the way through.
People carried on chatting but started going their separate ways when we got out.
"So, where do we go now?" asked Kyle.
I whipped out the map and unfolded it. "Unlike you, I like to know exactly where were going."
I didn't recognise the name of the city was in, but judging by everybody's accent, we were somewhere in Yorkshire. And Yorkshire was a big place, so we could be anywhere.
Leon stood next to me and peered over the map. "Right, so the nearest hotel is…here. And we're here." He pin pointed our position on the map. He then looked up and scanned the area to figure out what direction we needed to go. "Me thinks… it's that way." He pointed east.
"Okay, but if you're wrong…" I paused while trying to think of a punishment. "You have to carry me to the hotel." I replied smugly with a giant grin.
